Criminal Thinking is a consistent pattern of distorted thinking errors that results in irresponsible and arrestable behavior. 

Mindfulness

Examples of thinking errors:

  • Ownership Attitude

  • Lack of Effort

  • Uniqueness

  • Views self as a good person

  • Closed channel thinking

  • Victimstance

How to correct thinking errors:

  • Stop! Think of the consequence

  • Stop! Think about who can get hurt

  • Plan ahead, think ahead & make another choice

  • Examination of Conscience

  • Do not dwell on it

How do thinking errors affect sobriety?

  • We can often connect our negative behavior to thinking errors.

  • If we can learn how to change our thinking errors we can then eliminate negative behavior.
